Britney; The best manual set to have is the factory 1972 Ford Truck set. It's five volumes with blue covers.
Check ebay in the Motors/Parts & Accesories/Manuals & Literature section and search for 1972 Ford Truck. You'll see complete original sets on there in varying condition for $50-$125. There are also random individual volumes (collect the whole set!), plus there are several companies that sell the whole set on a CD for about $30.
You'll also see the aftermarket manuals on there, such as Clymer and Haynes. They're okay for some of the basics, but the factory manuals have much more detailed instructions and pictures. If you're looking for the original Owners' Manual (the small booklet that was in the glove box), you'll see them for sale on ebay too.
I bought the book for my 68 for a 100.00. Little pricy but its thousands of pages and was worth every penny. These books contain everything you need to know and more.
For additional books simply google search for your vehicle ' 1972 ford truck service manual' and click under 'shopping results' or 'books' under the 'more' tab on google. You may have to copy and paste these links into your address bar cause I'm not sure their pasting as links. Hope this helps. Just go to ebay's Motors section, then the subsection Parts & Accessories, and the subsection of that Manuals & Literature. Then type in 1972 Ford Truck in the search line. You'll get a couple pages of manuals and literature, just for the 1972 Fords. They're called 1972 Ford Truck, and they cover all of the pickups, as well as Broncos, Econoline vans, and some of the heavier trucks.
This 1967 Ford F250 is a Camper Special model with Ranger trim in unrestored condition and 57k documented miles. The truck was repowered with a 390 FE V8 in the 1970s and optioned with a heavy duty alternator, tinted glass, secondary fuel tank and the camper package in addition to a host of dealer-added accessories. Owned by one couple from new, it was used for summer family camping trips until their children got older, then stored from 1999 until the seller purchased it in February. One of 453 trucks with its specific configuration according to the included Marti report, it’s now for sale with comprehensive documentation from new and a clean Washington State title. Outside, the 1967-72 “bumpside” body wears two-tone Wimbledon White and Frost Turquoise paint which shines nicely while showing a general patina with some chipping, occasional dings and scratches, and areas of wear-through as is typical for Ford blues of the period. The truck spent its period of disuse in a carport and shows isolated areas of surface rust, but has never been in an accident according to the original owner. The rear bumper was recently repainted along with the original 16.5” wheels, which wear five new Firestone LT-rated tires and matching hubcaps.

A matching spare resides in the bed while the factory undermounted spare with bias-ply tire is retained below it. The 98″ bed spent the majority of its time hauling a small slide-in camper, but still shows scuffs from use. Its tailgate was removed and stored inside for decades but has now been cleaned up and reunited with the truck.
The Ranger model’s polished aluminum trim is mostly straight throughout and complete including the 1967-only grille and narrow side spears. All glass is uncracked, though the original windshield shows sand pitting and three small chips.
The original two-tone vinyl Ranger bench is in good shape with no split seams, although a small cracked area is shown on the driver’s side. The dash pad and both door panels are clean with no cracks or warping.

The headliner and sun visors are intact and fit well, though the stock carpets are discolored. The Deluxe steering wheel and chrome trim are free of cracks. The Ranger got a full instrumentation package including secondary gauges in place of warning lights. All factory controls appear present – the factory AM radio still works, as do the wipers and washer. A reproduction owner’s manual resides in the intact pressboard glove box, but the original is also included. The working heater has early push-pull controls, and other correct ’67-only items remain in place. The original owner outfitted the cab with a compass, outside temperature gauge, document holder, cargo organizer, and CB radio.
Other accessories including an altimeter, tach, vacuum gauge, and trailer brake controller have been removed but are included. In the early 1970s the original 352 V8 was pulled in favor of a new 390 FE crate motor with a custom dual exhaust. Power steering was not reinstalled after the conversion. Period finned rocker covers and an original washer fluid bag are nice touches, while oil seepage is evident and the firewall shows typical corrosion around brake master. The 390 feeds power to the stock NP435 four-speed manual and out to a 4.10 Dana 60 rear end. Vistas teacher edition. The original owners drove the truck periodic short distances to keep it exercised during its 17-year storage, and approximately $4k has been spent addressing mechanical needs in the last 1000 miles. Underneath, the 131″ chassis received dealer-applied undercoating when new, which is now flaking off.

A resultant layer of superficial rust is visible but frame rails and suspension pickups look solid throughout. Included in the sale is a collection of tuneup parts, tools, factory shop manuals, and a pair of mounted snow tires. The first owner performed basic maintenance himself, writing down service details and running time during storage. Here is the Marti Report. For example, look at the electrical diagnostic manuals, written to assist even the toughest electrical issue. Then, there are the service manuals, which provide details on general service and maintenance procedures. If you need one from 20-years ago, we probably have it. 1998 harley softail manual.
